Ventilation Principle of Drop Hammer Fan
The drop hammer fan, primarily designed for cooling and exhaust purposes, operates based on a fundamental ventilation principle. Here's how it works:
The fan exhausts air outwards, creating a scenario where indoor air pressure drops, making the indoor air thinner and forming a negative pressure area. Due to this pressure difference, air from outside is drawn into the room to compensate for the reduced pressure inside.
In practical industrial applications, such as in factories or workshops, the fan is typically installed on one side of the building, with the air inlet located on the opposite side. This setup facilitates convective airflow, where air flows from the inlet, through the workshop, and is exhausted by the fan.
During this process, doors and windows near the fan remain closed to ensure that air is forced to enter the workshop from the inlet side. The air then flows into the workshop in a linear and orderly manner, traverses the workshop, and is eventually discharged by the fan.
This ventilation principle not only ensures effective air exchange but also helps maintain a comfortable indoor environment by removing stale air and introducing fresh air.
